I first heard the word »doy« in the early 1980's, It was used by the home boys in the valley. I was never sure if it was a word that had it's genesis with them or if they just adopted it. Neither the meaning nor genesis was ever made clear, but was often used as an expression, superlative or even a statement. The meaning was more in how you said it and in the context of its use.
Holder was one of the »Valley Posse« that seem to really embrace it and use the word when ever he could and even wrote Doy in cement, though it is where few ever see it. Doy! That was over 23 years ago.
