I think convents and monasteries might have been happier,better places if there had been more in the way of joking and laughter within their walls. Silence is only creative when it falls in between absorbing bouts of conversation and I'll bet that God's delicious sense of humour has been grossly underused over the centuries, even among his most faithful servants...
