i need a better perspective on perception or could you tell me the difference?
The fact that we perceive something to be true does not make it true.
For example, we perceive that the stars revolve around the earth.
Or that the ocean ends on the horizon.
Or that magician saws a woman in half.
So perception can be an illusion.
On the other hand, as Mark Twain noted, if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck it's a duck.
I perceive that I am among some kindred spirits but what is their perception of me?
perception is perspective.
perspective is irrelavant when the
perception is lost.
If the doors of perception were cleansed everything would appear to man as it is, infinite
Doors of Perception, the / Heaven and Hell Aldous Huxley
Reality is perception letting itself be known to us.
All reality is theory. The best theory is knowledge. Knowledge is derived from observation and wild imagination.
There is no reality without imagination.
Reality is perception letting itself be known to us by imagination.
