Warmth had crept through Zhang’s body. Maybe it was the blood in his mouth and his pants, the sweat that bonded his soaked shirt to his chest, or maybe the tingling from smacking the base of his skull on the cockpit wall – or maybe – it was knowing that all he need do is leave the throttle wide open and enjoy the ride. A grimy towel mopped the sweat from his brow; he wiped the blood from his gut and spit out the foul taste in his mouth.
