The word makes me hear my father say it in my mind's memory, like he did when he was annoyed because something wasn't going the way it was supposed to. He'd say »Oh brilliant«, with this particular stress on the »brill« syllable and his broad cockney accent (specially noticeable with the »oh«). The whole thing sounded a little like when you say »Told you!«.
