Coffee is the opposite of beer. Coffee is sharp, dark, meaty, expensive. Beer is soft, light (except when it's dark), foamy, and friendly. Coffee winds you up; beer winds you down. Coffee has piercing eyes; beer gives you a big ole hug.

The aroma is remarkable: rich, sweet, caramelly, complete. In the cup substantial, brightly rich, with tickles of citrus and cocoa. The chocolate-toned finish sits rather heavily on the palate.

Give me a tanker truck full of coffee and a star to steer her by!
