Yesterday I sang o lot of beatle-songs! (Nowhere man, Strawberry Fields, Sun King – I forgot: Julia) Also 'Jumping Jack Flasch (I 'forgot' 'Honky Tonk Woman'...) from The Rolling Stones and 'Stand by me' from Oasis.
»Oh, Rhett, I'm so very tired of it all.« It is the fourth of July and I spent a large portion of my afternoon watching the second half of Gone With The Wind. What a remarkable film.
I've known tiredness all my life – either through ill-health, depression, or having far too much to do...I truly envy those who are endlessly wideawake, self-confident and energetic (plenty of them, round the world) and would ask (it being Sunday) that when I get to Heaven, fatigue and need-to-sleep should be the earliest words removed from my newly angelic vocabulary!!
I'm tired of it all. I could just sleep and drift away forever.
